Cross country preps for Prep League championships

Bright eyed and bushy tailed, Poly’s cross country team will run in the Prep League championships at Pierce College in Woodland Hills at 8:10 a.m.. The field of runners will be competitive, and the warm weather will make the run a little tougher. However, the coaches are confident, and the team is ready. Poly's girls enter the meet ranked #7 in CIF-SS, and the boys are ranked #16. Under the new post-season formula, both teams are assured post-season berths. The girls and boys are currently in third place. the Varsity races feature seven Prep League runners ranked in the top 10 in the state for Division V; one of those runners includes Poly's Xian Shively. The girls team will be relying on its depth to hold onto one of the top three post-season spots; the boys will be chasing Chadwick for the second spot in the league.
