Dance Team and Mascots shine at USA Spirit Camp

Poly athletics is still a couple weeks away from interscholastic competition but that didn’t stop the Dance Team and Mascots from bringing home the first awards of the year. The team traveled to UC Santa Barbara for the annual USA Spirit Camp, and once again they earned the highest awards, coming home with superior ratings for all evaluations, the Hardest Working Team award, as well as the coveted Unity Award, which are voted on by the other teams at the camp.

 

Henry Bryant and Maya Cook were chosen by camp staff as recipients of the Pay It Forward Award, recognizing their kind, helpful, and positive spirit, especially in their interactions with other teams. Mercedes Dobbs rounded out the awards by being recognized by the camp staff with the Dance Technique award.
