Boys golf breaks 200

Poly’s boys golf team is off to a great start this spring. In the first three matches of the season, the Panthers outplayed their opponents by an average of approximately 28 strokes; the largest win was by 40 strokes versus Milken. It was also against Milken that Poly broke the 200 mark for the first time this season. Last week, Poly faced Temple City, where they beat the Rams by three strokes. Yesterday, Poly experienced their first loss of the season, falling to a very strong team from San Marino. Although Poly scored an impressive 205, San Marino’s strength was evident with their score of 184. Today, the Panthers will have to bounce back and face their first Prep League opponents, Flintridge Prep and Buckley, in a tri-meet at Brookside Golf Course today at 3 p.m. See the Athletic Calendar for more details.
