Boys basketball are Prep League champs
Last night, the boys Varsity basketball team hosted the Dolphins from Chadwick. This was not only the last home game, but also the last game of the regular season. It was a tough-fought game, but in the end, the Panthers defeated the Dolphins 46-37. Before the game, the team celebrated their two seniors. By the time the buzzer sounded, they were celebrating their title of Prep League champions. With this title, the Panthers earn an automatic berth into the CIF-SS Division 4A playoffs. Playoff brackets will be available Sunday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m.

Other Poly teams who have made it to the post-season include girls basketball and girls water polo. The girls soccer team face Westridge tonight at South Pasadena High School at 6 p.m. The winner of this game earns an automatic berth into the playoffs.
