Field Athlete Represents Poly in CIF Finals

Last weekend three Poly Track and Field team members went to Carpinteria to compete in 2023 CIF-SS Division 4 Prelims. Ninth-grader Catherine M. ’26 ran a 63.88s in the open 400m for Poly. Senior Desi R. ’23 ran an 11.43s in the open 100m and jumped 40'5" in the triple jump. Senior Jonah G. ’23 set a new PR in the shot put with 42'7", 110' in discus, and qualified for CIF Finals in the pole vault. He finished in a three-way tie for third with a qualifying pole vault height of 10-00.00. Jonah will compete in the CIF-SS Division 4 Finals to represent Poly in the pole vault. The finals will be held at Moorpark High School on Saturday, May 13. Tickets are available at GoFan. General Admission is $12, and students and kids are $5.
