Upper School Students Earn Writing Awards

Poly is thrilled to share writing awards bestowed upon our Upper School Students. Sharon C. ’24 earned a First Class award from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) for their annual student essay contest. First Class is the highest award in a national competition in which schools can only nominate a certain number of students, so this is a very impressive achievement. Sharon was also honored with two Scholastic Arts & Writing Awards gold medals for essays titled “The Vows” and “Lethe.” Lucia C. ’23 was also honored with a silver medal for “Exit Pursued by a Bee” as was Gaia D. ’24 for “Elio.” Please join me in congratulating these students!
