Middle School Performing Arts Trip to NYC

During Spring Break, our eighth-grade performing arts students made a special visit to New York City. The trip included viewing several Broadway shows, including Hadestown and SIX, and backstage access and interviews with Broadway professionals. They also enjoyed sightseeing and great eats in the Big Apple! The trip was organized by Brady Frome, K-12 Performing Arts Department Chair and Lower/Middle School Drama Teacher.

"To say our eighth-grade Performing Arts trip to NYC during Spring Break was a success would be a massive understatement!," said Brady. "The NYC trip was described by many of our travelers as being the 'trip of a lifetime' and 'an experience they will never forget.' Not only did our students see two Broadway shows, meet the real 'Phantom' from Broadway's Phantom of the Opera, ride the subway, explore Times Square, visit Chinatown, the MET, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, and other parts of NYC, they did it all in only four whirlwind days! Whew! Our 36 students gained confidence and independence, all while building and cultivating relationships with their peers and teachers. We look forward to many, many more years of exploring NYC together."

We hope this trip will continue for many years in the future!
