GIP Event: Sabaa Tahir in Conversation with Sehba Sarwar

Please join us for Pasadena's first Young Adult Open Book event featuring 2022 Young Adult National Book Award-winner Sabaa Tahir, author of All My Rage and the New York Times bestselling An Ember in the Ashes series. Tahir will be in conversation with local Pakistani-American artist and writer Sehba Sarwar, author of Black Wings. In All My Rage, the narrative shifts from teens in present-day California to their parents’ early years in Pakistan. The book is nuanced in its inclusion of Pakistani, Muslim, and California desert cultures and speaks to something many share: the experience of being in an inescapable situation where you have no good choices.” Please RSVP for this event, sponsored by Polytechnic School and the Pasadena Literary Foundation.
