Poly Students Perform in CAIS Honors Music Festival

On February 4-5, six Poly Upper School students participated in the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) Honors Music Festival hosted at Viewpoint School. Choir students had the opportunity to work with Aleta Braxton, a singer from LA Master Chorale and LA Opera, who led them in works by G.F. Handel, Henry Purcell, Pasek, and Paul, and more. Strings students worked with Dr. Janine Riviere, a professor from Cal Poly Pomona. A highlight of their performance was a set of dances by William Grant Still. After rehearsing for about four hours each on Friday and Saturday, the students performed on Saturday afternoon in large ensembles with peers from schools across Southern California. We are so proud of our students!
