Regeneron Science Talent Search Recognizes Poly Students and Teachers

Poly is thrilled to announce that Elizabeth H. and Dario S., both Class of 2023, are part of the Regeneron Science Talent Search top 300 scholars in the nation. The search is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and mathematics competition for high school seniors. We are equally thrilled to commend Jack Prater and Bala Selvakumar for their roles working with both scholars. Their transformative teacher was recognized with Teachers of Merit certificates from Regeneron. Each scholar will receive $2,000, and Poly will also receive $2,000 to use toward STEM-related activities. Dario’s project was titled and focused on “The Minimum Wage as an Anchor: Effects on Determinations of Fairness,” while Elizabeth’s project was “Representing Space in Different Contexts: A Neural Network Model of the Hippocampus.” Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth, Dario, Bala, and Jack.
