Winter Sports Season Begins

Although we are still 37 days away from the first day of winter, Poly’s winter season sports has begun. The teams have been practicing for the past couple of weeks in preparation for the opening games this week. 

To kick off the season, Poly’s Girls Varsity Basketball team and Boys Frosh/Soph Basketball team both tipoff at 5 p.m. in Scott Gym and Gamble Gym on Tuesday, November 15. Boys Varsity Basketball will follow at 6:30 p.m. in Gamble Gym. Both boys soccer teams will host Rosemead High School on Wednesday, November 16. Girls Varsity Water Polo hosts Hoover High School in the Aquatics Center on Thursday, November 17. On Friday, November 18 Poly hosts Basset High School in all three levels of boys basketball, as does Girls Varsity Water Polo team with Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks). Girls soccer will have their opening season game against La Salle after the Thanksgiving Break on Tuesday, November 29.
