Local activists Catherine Chipembere (WIN Malawi), Tom Harding, and Dorothy Garcia (Art Aids Art) will be honored for their human rights work in support of women and children in Southern Africa. The evening will feature music by Poly alumnus Malawian-American singer-songwriter Masauko Chipembere ’88, renowned jazz vocalist Dwight Trible, and master sitarist and bassist Paul Livingstone. After the concert attendees are invited to eat a light supper prepared by the Miry's List New Arrival Club and engage with leaders of organizations that support human rights in the Pasadena area and beyond. Information about the event will be sent to registrants at least 24 hours before the event.
