Playing at the Next Level

Polytechnic School prides itself on academic and athletic excellence. This year, the Class of 2022 is sending nine student-athletes to colleges and universities to continue their athletic careers. These nine athletes are going to six different colleges/universities and will play six different sports. 

Poly is sending three student-athletes to Macalester College in Minneapolis, MN. They include Colin Mathews ’22 and Derek Foker ’22 for football and Ella Wu-Ancipink ’22 for women’s soccer. Joining them in Minnesota at Carleton College located in Northfield, MN are Ethan Chan ’22 for baseball and Theo Demetriades ’22 for track and field. Just south of them will be Henry Horn ’22 who will be joining Grinnell College’s men’s golf team. To the east will be Sam Howell ’22 at Kenyon College in Ohio who will play for their baseball team. In Pennsylvania will be volleyball player Kayla Chu ’22 who will join the women’s volleyball roster at Haverford College. Closer to home, Matthias Olson ’22 will be playing football for the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens where he will be teammates once again with alums Thomas McConnell ’20 and Wiley Roberts ’20.
