Badminton and Golf Fight for the League Title

This week marks the conclusion of the regular season for two of Poly’s spring teams. Members of the badminton and golf teams are now in the fight for individual league titles. 

Poly's Badminton top players, after finishing their season with a perfect record of 15-0 overall, 12-0 in league, and earning the title of Montview League Champions, now have their sights set on earning individual league titles. Representing Poly in the Varsity prelims are two boys singles, one girls singles, two boys doubles teams, two girls doubles team, and three mixed doubles teams. Poly holds the number one seed in four of those five categories. On the JV side, Poly is sending one boys single, one girls single, one boys double, one girls double, and one mixed doubles team. Poly holds the number one seed in the boys doubles and girls doubles categories. 

Prelims and finals will be held at Nogales High School.
Prelims are on Tuesday, May 3 at 2 p.m.
Those who advance to the finals will compete on Wednesday, May 4.
Finals are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. 

For Poly’s golf team, three members of the team will compete in the Prep League Prelims on our home course, Alhambra Golf Course—Jerry F. ’25, Julian H. ’22, and Henry H. ’22.
Prelims are scheduled for 12 p.m. on Tuesday.
Those with qualifying scores advance to compete in the finals held on Thursday, May 5.
Tee time will also be at 12:50 p.m. on Alhambra Golf Course.
