Steven L. and Adrian L. Awarded Dragon Kim Fellowships

Steven L. and Adrian L., both class of 2023, have collectively earned $10,000 in community service grant funding through the Dragon Kim Foundation Fellowship. These students were selected from almost 300 applicants across California, Nevada, and Arizona, and went through a rigorous interview process to earn an invitation to the mentoring program.

Steven is the founder of Project Talent Launch, an organization for students seeking career exploration with financial or social barriers to access, providing internships for high school students. Adrian is the founder of Puriphico, a startup specializing in devices to consistently help users wash their hands for 20 seconds to fight COVID-19.

“The Dragon Kim Foundation is an amazing resource. Beyond the $5000 grant, the mentors, peers, and training at the DKF have been a game-changer for me and Project Talent Launch. I'm exploring amazing organizational tools (like Gantt charts), creating new internship opportunities, and learning so much from everyone at the foundation,” said Steven.

Polytechnic students are encouraged to apply to the Dragon Kim Fellowship in future years to earn funding and mentorship for social entrepreneurship projects.
