Poly Welcomes Back Its Basketball Tournaments

After a year off due to the pandemic, Poly’s annual Basketball Invitational tournaments are back. Both the boys and the girls teams are hosting a  tournament this week. The boys start Wednesday, December 8, the girls start Thursday, December 9, and both will run until Saturday, December 11. There will be two games each night on the boys and the girls side until Saturday, when the third place teams from both pools will play each other. Then, the two second place teams will play. The tournament will conclude with a face-off of the two first-place teams.

What started out as two three-team pools for both boys and girls, we now enter the tournament with a shortened field due to COVID. On the girls side, Poly will be hosting Cabrillo High School, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA), and Paraclete in Scott Gym. The boys will be hosting Gabrielino High School, San Gabriel High School, Marshall, and San Marino High School in Gamble Gym.
