PolyToday: Spooky Science

Seventh-graders enjoyed a fun STEM Halloween-related activity during FLEx today in Founders’ Hall. The kids created and tested catapults using seasonal projectiles. More specifically, they launched plastic balls that looked like eyeballs as well as Halloween-colored pom poms. Catapults were tested to see how they performed in various trials, where students measured accuracy as well as strength. The Class of 2027 will continue to discuss their findings in upcoming science classes.
