Alumni Board Welcomes New President and Members

The Poly Alumni Association is pleased to welcome new President, Elisa Rodriguez ’01, and new members Elise Kuo ’07, Joseph Masters ’18, and Andrew Schwartz ’96.

We thank departing member Giancarlo DiMassa ’92 and past-president Lori MacPherson ’85 for their time and service to the board.

Elisa Rodriguez ’01; P’32,’34
President
After spending the bulk of her career in financial services, Elisa is now a senior manager for Orum.io, a technology company focused on creating financial services infrastructure. Prior to her role at Orum, Elisa was a vice president at Goldman Sachs Investment Management Division, working with a team to manage over $2 billion in investment assets.

She received her MBA from UCLA Anderson as a Consortium Fellowship recipient and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in Economics with a minor in Latin American Studies. While at the University of Pennsylvania, Elisa studied abroad in the Dominican Republic and served on the advisory board of La Casa Latina.

Elisa grew up in Pasadena and was a "lifer" at Polytechnic School. Elisa’s father, Nicholas, is Poly Class of 1970, and her two children, Anna ’32 and Georgie ’34, are also Poly Panthers.

Elise Kuo ’07
Elise is a former Poly class president, club leader, sport captain, and mascot (Go, Panthers!). She studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, spent time in Bay Area startups, and now does business development for a major media agency in New York City where she is the new business manager at Spark Foundry. Elise was spurred to return to her "roots" by Poly's refocus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and she serves as a co-lead of the AAPI affinity group. She is excited to harness the reflections and learnings of her fellow alumni to better serve current students, parents, and faculty and improve the Poly experience.

Joseph Masters ’18
Joseph is a filmmaker and multi-media storyteller based in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of Polytechnic High School (’18) and currently studying Media Arts + Practice with an Entertainment Industry minor at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Andrew Schwartz '96
Andrew grew up in Pasadena and attended Poly from pre-K through 12th grade. He attended UC Davis where he received a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics. He currently owns, invests, and operates multiple businesses involving real estate acquisition, tech startups, and healthcare management which includes youth health and exercise. In addition, he is actively involved in supporting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Andrew is still very close with many of his former Poly classmates. Each year he ventures on a surf trip with a few of them. His favorite time however, is with his two children, his wife, and their puppy Waffle.
