Global Initiatives Program in the News!

Please enjoy Global Education Benchmark Group's (GEBG) most recent issue of Interconnected. This magazine is not only filled with interesting and relevant articles about global education but also highlights Poly's leadership in the field.

Check out our own Doc Farrar's discussion of decolonizing the curriculum (p.17-21) and Kate D.'s ’22 prize-winning GET essay on defunding confederate monuments (p.35). Ann Diederich, a new board member on the GEBG, is also spotlighted chatting with Viet Thanh Nguyen at the start of the issue. Poly has also been fortunate to bring in and introduce keynote speakers such as Ishamael Beah to this community of 300+ schools around the world.

Poly was also featured in Narrative 4's April newsletter for its work in its story exchanges in the Upper School, the American School in Tampico, and the Manara Center, as well as our upcoming travel programs (thanks to Julieta Grané). We are invited to collaborate with their curriculum directors and artist network to develop innovative units that will put empathy into action.

The Global Initiatives Program is here to provide resources and opportunities for engagement to K-12 teachers. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any requests, ideas, or suggestions.
