GIP-GEBG Event With Ishmael Beah: Storytelling Across Cultures

As a member school of the Global Educators Benchmark Group, members of the Poly community are invited to join a live virtual event on Saturday, May 1 at 9 a.m. with New York Times bestselling author and UNICEF’s first Advocate for Children Affected by War, Ishmael Beah. Beah will address the topic of “Storytelling Across Cultures” and share his own story as a child growing up during the civil war in Sierra Leone. Poly global scholars will be introducing and facilitating this discussion and you will have the opportunity to ask questions of Beah during the event at the conclusion of his 40-minute talk (that will be different from the assembly in February).
