First Spring Season Athletics Games

Poly competed in its first spring season games of the year last week. Things kicked off with Poly’s golf team against Maranatha High School. Poly’s top three golfers outscored Maranatha’s top three golfers with scores of 43 from Henry H. ’22, 42 from Maddie K. ’21, and the top score from Everett W. ’24  with 41. 

Poly’s girls tennis team took on Westridge School but fell to the Tigers 5-13. Sisters Emma C. ’21 and Rebecca C. ’24  fought hard and earned the team two very close victories. 

To finish off last week, Boys Varsity Soccer played the Rams from Temple City High School. It was a tough match-up with Poly scoring in the first half. The two teams put in a great defensive battle holding the score with a Poly victory of 1-0 by the time the final whistle blew. 

This week Tuesday, Poly will be hosting its first home competitions with girls swimming against Mayfield Senior School and Boys Varsity Soccer against Prep League opponent Providence High School. Check out the Athletic Calendar for this week’s full game lineup.
