PE Department Participates in Middle School Day on Campus

On November 11, the Physical Education (PE) department participated in the Middle School’s pilot program allowing grade-level cohorts of students back on campus. The day focused on the social and emotional wellness of the students, allowing them to be with each other in small cohorts and on campus for the first time since March. This was also an opportunity for those students new to Poly to step on campus for the first time.

Each student entered campus during their designated time by grade and advisory group. They maintained social distancing and wore masks throughout their time on campus. The PE department had the privilege to take part in this day providing a 45-minute PE class, keeping the students in their small advisory groups. The PE department offered badminton, soccer, games, and swimming.

The students enjoyed their time on campus and seeing their classmates, some for the very first time in person. The Middle School faculty and staff did an outstanding job organizing the day and the PE and Athletics department were excited to be part of it. The students will have another opportunity to come on campus on November 18.
