Upper School Library Offering Curbside Pickup

You may have heard about public libraries across Los Angeles offering curbside pickup of books. Now, the Poly Upper School library is offering a similar initiative. Students can request up to three books at a time using this Google Form and pick up books in the Garland Lot Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. Your items will be brought to your car by a librarian.

This initiative first began over the summer to a great response. The Upper School Library is currently not requesting returns so that students may stay safe at home. You are able to return books during the Wednesday pick-up time if you desire.

Ms. Alfaro shares that the most popular books being checked out are books on racial justice and fantasy. As students begin research projects for the fall, she expects curbside pickup will be helpful for students looking for academic resources.

During distance learning, the Upper School Library is also offering virtual appointments through Zoom to assist students. There are now increased digital resources available including more databases and newspaper/magazine resources. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Alfaro or Ms. Peters.
