Safer-at-home with Poly Athletics

The Athletics department has rolled out a new site to help the Spring sports teams and the greater community stay active and connected during these safer-at-home times. It is a place that hones in on the mental, physical, social, and emotional well-being of not only our student-athletes but of the Poly community as a whole.

On the site, there are specific pages for the spring teams, a page for each aspect of the Support Group; Sports Medicine, Sports Performance, and Sports Psychology, as well as a Fitness page. The homepage offers a message from the Athletic department as well as up-to-date CIF news. Poly’s spring sports teams can access their team pages to stay connected to their coaches and teammates during these distant-learning times. It’s a place where the coaches can share workouts, tips, messages, and many other items to keep in touch with their teams. The Fitness tab is geared towards those who may not be on a spring sports team but need ideas of how to get active. Here you will find different ideas of how to get moving while you’re at home. The Sports Medicine page is focused on ways to take care of your bodies pre- and post-workouts. You can access Poly’s Performance Coach, Sheldon Williams, through the Sports Performance page. This is a resource to help you work out from home. The Sports Psychology page is full of information from Dr. Francisco Chaves, Poly’s sports psychologist. This focuses on the importance of mental wellness during this pandemic. The athletic trainers, Coach Williams, and Dr. Chaves all have a sign-up genius link on their pages if you would like to set up an appointment.

Check out the website and stay connected with us.
