PolyToday: Career Day in second grade

Students in second grade have been researching and writing about different service providers in the community. These included veterinarians, delivery drivers, principals, television reporters, and lifeguards. To enrich the Class of 2030's learning experience, parents were invited to come to a Career Day to be interviewed by students about their jobs and how they provide a service to the community. The impressive group included a writer, an entrepreneur, an actor, dermatologists, a judge, a gemologist, financial planners, a neuroscientist, and a professor, to name a few. It was a really enriching, authentic, and hands-on learning experience for the students AND adults!
