GIP Perspectives: Symposium on US-Mexico Border (Postponed)

Monday, March 16, 2020
Garland Theater: 6pm

Today, one of the most polarizing political topics is immigration. Sixteen Poly and PFS students traveled to the US-Mexico border over Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend. While visiting both sides of the border and having spoken with people from an assortment of backgrounds and varieties of “immigration” experiences, these students saw, heard, and tangibly experienced a plethora of human perspectives. This symposium will provide a forum for the students to present firsthand findings, and discuss and further explore questions about human rights, borders, and issues of national security.
