PolyToday: It's debatable

The Middle School Debate Team held an intramural debate tournament on Saturday, with only Poly teams competing. Students researched and discussed the merits - and shortcomings - of desalination in California and the use of standardized tests in college admissions decisions. Upper School students with debate experience judged and gave feedback to the Middle School debaters, and sixth-graders helped with timing and videotaping. At the end of three rounds, a final public debate was held on stage in Founders Hall between the top two teams at the tournament.
