Boys basketball’s win over the Kares gives Panthers winning league record

Yesterday Poly’s boys basketball team headed to Arcadia to take on the Kares from Rio Hondo Prep. Coming off the heels of a big win of 50-48 for Poly’s girls team, the boys took care of business as well. The Panthers defeated the Kares 57-49, extending their overall record to 19-2, 3-2 in league. The team hopes to take this momentum into Friday, when they host the Pioneers from Providence High School. Providence is coming to campus to take on all four basketball programs. The frosh/soph team plays at 4 p.m. in Gamble Gym. Varsity girls and JV boys play at the same time at 5:30 p.m. The girls host in Scott Gym, and the JV boys host in Gamble Gym. Boys Varsity will round out the evening with a 7 p.m. tipoff in Gamble Gym. Check the athletic calendar for full details.
