Girls basketball looks for back-to-back league wins

On Tuesday, Poly’s girls basketball team traveled down to Palos Verdes Peninsula to take on the Dolphins from Chadwick in a Prep League match-up. It was a tough-fought game, and it was the Panthers who walked away with the win, scoring 46-40. This gives the Panthers a 5-1 league record as they enter the weekend. This afternoon, Poly is off to Westridge School for a 4 p.m. game. And, on Saturday, Jan. 25, the team hosts the Cubs from Mayfield Senior School in another league game. The first time the two met earlier this month, Poly came out on top, squeaking by 30-29. Wear your orange and cheer on your Panthers. The boys basketball teams are also hosting Mark Keppel in Gamble Gym on Saturday. Frosh/Soph play at 3 p.m., JV follows at 4:30 p.m., and Varsity finishes up the afternoon with a 6 p.m. tipoff. Check out the athletic calendar for details.
