Girls water polo dominates the pool

Poly’s girls water polo team has hit the halfway mark of their season showing nothing but dominance in the pool. Under the leadership of their two returning seniors, Megan Kelleher and Talie Wilmans, the team heads into the second half of their season. After defeating Prep League rival Flintridge Prep in a close 12-9 victory last Friday, the team now stands with a record of 10-1. Their one loss was to fellow top CIF-SS Division 4 opponent, La Serna High School, in the championship game of the seventh annual Girls Water Polo Holiday Invitational in which they participated in early December. The girls will close out the week by hosting Millikan High School on Thursday, Jan. 16, and by traveling to Palos Verdes Peninsula to face Prep League opponent Chadwick School on Friday, Jan. 17.
