First home games of the winter season
This week Poly hosts its first home games of the winter season. Teams have been competing in scrimmages throughout the last week, but this week marks the first official games of the winter season. Boys JV basketball kicked off the season last night hosting Holy Martyrs in Gamble Gym. It was a close game, but the Panthers came up just short, finishing with a score of 35-29.

Friday afternoon will welcome more home matchups. The afternoon starts out with boys Varsity soccer hosting Oakwood School at Caltech’s turf field. Kickoff is at 3:15 p.m. Poly’s gyms will be busy as well: Gamble Gym will host a triple-header against Hoover High School. The boys Frosh/Soph basketball team will start off with a 3:30 p.m. game. JV will follow at 5 p.m., and Varsity will close out the evening with a 6:30 p.m. game. In Scott Gym, Poly’s girls basketball team will face Louisville High School. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. Please come out Friday afternoon to cheer on your Panthers.
