Varsity tennis pushes on to continue winning streak

On Tuesday, Poly’s girls Varsity tennis team faced Mayfield for the second time this season. After the first round of Prep League games, the girls proved themselves to be strong competitors against their counterparts. In their first meeting on Sept. 17, Mayfield gave Poly the closest game they’ve had all season, with Poly winning by a margin of five points. Earlier this week, the story was the same. After some tough-fought matches, Poly again defeated Mayfield with a score of 11-7, extending their undefeated streak. The girls stand with an overall record of 13-0, 6-0 in league. Today they take on Westridge in another league match hoping to continue their winning streak. The match starts at 3:45 p.m. at Muir High School.
