PolyToday: Block begins

Block period began today for Middle School students. Students meet weekly for an extended class period to explore topics, work on specific projects, or participate in community outreach, benefiting both the Poly community and beyond. Sixth- and seventh-graders will have the opportunity to sample all the offerings; eighth-graders choose from several options. Offerings include: computer science, solving problems and puzzles in Math Counts, publishing a newspaper, making murals, gardening, participating in the regional Science Olympiad competition as a member of Poly's grade 8-12 Science Olympiad team, hiking in the foothills, learning about climate change, and helping in Lower School classrooms, Del Mar Park Assisted Retirement Living, and Families Forward - and the list goes on, believe it or not!
