PolyToday: Row, row, row your boat

Selected members of Poly's Upper School were hard at work on Saturday, preparing for their Outdoor Education whitewater rafting trip at the end of the month. They'll travel approximately 70 miles in three- and four-person rafts on the wild and scenic Klamath River. To help them prepare for this adventure, Poly trip leader Tina Cocumelli and trip guide Tom Moore from Sierra South organized a paddling clinic in Poly's pool. The group practiced stroke commands and learned the basics of river safety, including how to get back in the raft after falling out. It is important to note that students will be wearing life jackets, shoes, and helmets when actually on the river. Learn more about Poly's Upper School Outdoor Ed program.
