PolyToday: Free fallin'

AP Physics students did a projectile motion lab today, investigating the horizontal and vertical motion of a ball falling from a ramp. Students were asked to collect data that would allow them to predict where the ball, rolling off the table, would land on the floor. A few measurements and a few calculations later, students were eager to see if they were correct. Nerves were high as a small cup was placed at the predicted landing position and the ball was let go. Science at work!
