Fall Tailgate is just around the corner

Poly’s annual Fall Tailgate is quickly approaching just as students are returning to campus. It will be held this Saturday, Aug. 31. The day begins with Poly’s girls Varsity volleyball team hosting seven other teams in the 30th annual Invitational Tournament. Games begin at 8 a.m. in both Scott and Gamble gyms. Poly’s volleyball team is set to take the court at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. Playoffs are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. (times may vary). JV football is scheduled to scrimmage Temple City High School at 10 a.m. on Babcock Field. Boys water polo faces La Cañada in the Poly Aquatics Center. JV takes to the pool at noon; Varsity follows at 1 p.m. Varsity football also plays on Saturday, when they will take on the Rancho Christian Eagles from Temecula at 2 p.m.
