PolyToday: Flashback Friday - tennis, baseball, and track

Here's a look at the sports that are currently in CIF playoffs, flashback Friday-style.
Tennis players from the 1909-10 school year. It's been 14 years since our boys tennis team has made the CIF Finals, but they are here! They play this morning at 11 a.m. in Claremont.
Check out what Poly's Varsity baseball team looked like in 1961. Our 2019 team will be traveling to Costa Mesa this afternoon to play in the quarterfinal round.
This track team picture from 1914-1915 features a variety of uniforms. "PES" signifies Polytechnic Elementary School. The boy in the back with the hat is Charley Paddock '15, a sprinter who won two gold medals at the 1920 Antwerp Olympic Games and held the world's record for the 100 meters for over 30 years. Click here for a video of Mr. Paddock in action, courtesy of the Olympic Channel.
On Saturday, four members of Poly’s track and field team will compete in the 2019 CIF-SS Division 4 championship finals at El Camino College.
Go Panthers! See the Athletic Calendar for details.
