Spring sports racks up three more league titles for the year

With one week of the regular season remaining, Poly’s spring sports teams have already clinched league titles in three sports. After dropping only one league game this season, Panthers softball enters the last week as Prep League champions. They face their last opponent, Rio Hondo Prep, on the road Tuesday, April 23. After a very exciting game against Flintridge Prep yesterday, Poly’s baseball team also earned themselves the title of Prep League champs. The team has two more league games remaining against Providence and Chadwick. Lastly, Poly’s boys tennis has had a remarkable season, holding an undefeated record. The boys faced non-league opponent Mark Keppel yesterday shutting them out 18-0 and recording their second consecutive shut-out match. The boys finish their season against Buckley School next Tuesday, when they honor four seniors. Poly’s badminton team has earned an honorable mention, finishing second in their very competitive Montview League. Many of their matches came down to the wire in some very exciting games.
