PolyToday: Connecting with Japan

In preparation for a face-to-face visit later this year, fifth-graders from Mrs. Breen’s and Mrs. Madnikoff’s classes recently Skyped with students from Ritsumeikan Primary School from Kyoto, Japan. The Poly students introduced themselves, as did the Ritsumeikan students. The students shared photographs of things they enjoyed and spoke a little bit about why they had chosen the pictures. They were delighted to find out that they have many things in common, such as enjoying sushi, ice skating, and a funny movie. Students have two more Skype sessions planned before the visitors arrive in March.
