Varsity girls basketball pulls league win

Yesterday the girls Varsity basketball team traveled to cross-town league opponent Westridge School to face the Tigers on their home court. The Panthers dominated the Tigers throughout the game and came away with a 47-26 victory. This is coming off the heels of a great winter break, during which the girls participated in the SoCal Run and Gun Against Cancer showcase at Carlsbad High School. This event was in honor and remembrance of those who have battled breast cancer. The teams wore “Think Pink Panthers” T-shirts and played the game with a pink basketball. Senior Alexis Pappachan was named “All-Tournament” for this event. The girls face Providence at home in the Scott Gym on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 5 p.m.
