PolyToday: Doc imparts some of his wisdom to the boys basketball players

Over the years, Coach Brad Hall '73 has asked various people on campus and in the community to tell their stories to inspire the basketball program. Yesterday, Dr. Robert Farrar, eighth-grade history teacher extraordinaire, took center court. Doc, as he is known around campus, told the boys about how his fifth-grade teacher inspired him to become a teacher. He urged the boys to develop a sense of dignity and to respect everybody. He covered many important topics with such humor and grace that no doubt the boys will reminisce at their reunions many years from now.
“Respect yourself and do not lower yourself to those that do not respect you.” - Dr. Farrar
