PolyToday: Row, row, row your boat

Poly's junior class was hard at work in the pool today preparing for their Outdoor Education trip. The Class of 2020 leaves at the end of September for a 70-mile whitewater rafting trip. They'll travel in three- and four-person rafts on the wild and scenic Klamath River. To help them prepare for this adventure, Poly trip leader Tina Cocumelli and trip guide Tom Moore from Sierra South organized a paddling clinic in Poly's pool. Juniors practiced stroke commands and learned the basics of river safety, including how to get back in the raft after falling out. Important to note that students will be wearing life jackets, shoes, and helmets when actually on the river. Learn more about Poly's Upper School Outdoor Ed trips.
