Shively ’18 breaking track and field records

Senior Xian Shively has kept up his momentum from an exceptional fall cross country season into this spring’s track and field season. Last weekend he was invited to compete in the Arcadia Invitational in the 3200-meter race. He ran against top runners and held his own. Of the total 193 runners in the race, Shively finished 39th with the time of 9:12.52. He not only broke the school record for this distance, but he also set a personal record as well. This will help the track and field team as they compete in their first league meet this afternoon at South Pasadena High School against Flintridge Prep and Chadwick school. Check the Athletic Calendar for details.
