PolyToday: Global Scholars and a Powerful Exchange

In their exploration of genocide studies, Poly’s Global Scholars met Tutsi genocide survivor and author Dydine Umunyana Anderson. Their exchange sparked a profound connection. The students’ letters so touched Ms. Umunyana Anderson that she wrote about them on her blog and later returned to Poly to personally sign and dedicate a copy of her book to each Global Scholar, a first in her dozen years of public speaking.
