Interested in being a substitute teacher?

Polytechnic School is seeking regular substitute teachers for all three divisions. A substitute teacher is responsible for carrying out prepared lesson plans for the absent teacher and for providing meaningful instruction while managing the classroom environment. When prolonged absences are being covered, the substitute is responsible for performing all essential functions of the absent teacher. On occasion, the substitute will be asked to cover multiple teachers in a given day. This position is vital, as it provides continuity to the learning environment when absences occur.

A bachelor’s degree is required. The substitute faculty member must meet all mandated health requirements. Previous classroom experience in a non-supervised setting is preferred.
