Welcome To Your Poly Reunion!

Are you (tech) ready for the Virtual Reunion Weekend events? As we gear up for a fully virtual reunion experience, we are sharing some helpful information and tips to ensure you have the best experience possible.

On Saturday, May 1, we will be using the virtual event platform, Gatherly, to host the events.

Here’s how you can prepare for the Gatherly events:

View the Gatherly tutorial and FAQ resources.

  1. If you haven’t yet done so, please download the Chrome web browser for the best experience with using Gatherly. Please note, Gatherly is not compatible with Safari or other web browsers and works best when using Chrome.

  2. Be sure to join the event from a laptop or desktop computer. Gatherly events are not available for access through mobile devices or tablets at this time.

  3. Get familiar with Gatherly! Unlike Zoom, Gatherly allows you to freely move around the event space, join and leave conversations, and socialize much like you would at an in-person event. Take a look at the YouTube playlist to get a glimpse into how Gatherly works. You’ll also have the opportunity to do a quick tutorial when you log into the event and we will have staff on hand to help you with any questions or issues that arise.

New to Zoom or need a refresher? Check out these helpful guides and resources for using Zoom on your computer or mobile device.

Have questions? Need help? We are here for you! For technical assistance before or during the events, please contact helpdesk@polytechnic.org. For event related questions and general support, please contact the Alumni and Advancement Office at eventhelp@polytechnic.org.

Stay Connected

Once you join your class group on PolyConnect, you can post photos, share memories, updates about your life, and comment on your classmates’ posts. We’ll be using the groups to share more updates about reunion weekend and ways you can get involved.

Alumni Make an Impact

Each year, gifts from our alumni community account for nearly 25 percent of the school’s fundraising goals. Recognizing the uniqueness of the Poly community and the opportunities and experiences afforded by a Poly education, alumni have maintained a strong commitment to supporting Poly financially. By contributing to Poly at any level, alumni donors ensure current and future students benefit in the same ways they did when they were Poly students. Many alumni choose to give a special contribution to Poly in honor of their reunion.

During the reunion celebrations, the Alumni Association presents two giving awards, the Founders Award to the class with the greatest cumulative giving and the Willis Stork Award to the class with the highest participation rate, to recognize the increased participation and support.
