This summer, we are pleased to announce the PolySummer College Preparatory Academy. The Academy offers four courses to help prepare your child for the college application process. The various courses include preparation for the SAT and ACT tests, writing the college essay, and creating a college art supplement portfolio, as well as a general college counseling course. The College Counseling course is a comprehensive, individualized college counseling program to assist students in their college search and preparatory work on college applications. The course is designed to help rising seniors use their summer to put together an expert application. Please note: This course is designed for the non-Poly student, as our own students will receive this same material and experience through their regular college application process in consultation with their college counselor in the fall of 2014.

Polytechnic School's summer program, PolySummer, offers students in the greater Pasadena community the chance to discover new learning experiences and to explore Poly’s exceptional programs, faculty, and facilities. PolySummer inspires students to grow in a learning community that values the pursuit of knowledge and the innovative exploration of core disciplines.

Three- and six-week courses are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. From language immersion in Italian, Mandarin, and Spanish for the very young, to robotics and experimental sciences, there is something for all students in grades K-12. In particular, offerings in writing and math include a range of courses tailored to differing needs of students. Overall, PolySummer offers an educational bounty in academics, arts, drama, computers, sports, and skills enrichment.
