 | The Lower School is a vibrant, diverse learning community committed to nurturing and challenging young minds and bodies.
A developmental approach recognizes that children learn at many different rates during the early school years. As children grow and mature, the curriculum gradually accelerates to foster the educational potential of each student. Our Lower School community includes 265 children, 20 full-time classroom teachers and assistants, and 15 support and specialized instruction personnel. Kindergarten and first grade consist of three classes each, and second through fifth grades are comprised of two classes per grade. Poly is a place where children develop their sense of awe and wonder about the world around them, where they come to see learning as a lifelong, joyous pursuit.
