Class of 2012 graduates

The 50th class to graduate from the Upper School completed their farewell celebrations yesterday. John Bryson, a former Poly parent and board member and currently the United States Secretary of Commerce, gave the Commencement address. He urged the students to continue their efforts to be of service to others, work for diversity and be creative. Other speakers included the Invocation from Isabel Sunshine, the Hale Integrity Prize recipient; Mrs. Reed; Robert Lantry, President of the Class of 2012; and the Benediction was given by Mr. Strom, the recipient of the Faculty Appreciation award. Kelsey Kawana wrote and performed a poem, and a group of gifted musicians performed In My Life by John Lennon. Dr. Neilson's remarks about the class were both insightful and humorous.
