Panther Pods Celebrate Women’s History

During the Lower School's fourth Panther Pod meeting, students reflected on the amazing women who’ve made a difference in the world and learned about their incredible achievements. Students shared a woman they look up to and the best lesson a woman taught them. Students mentioned family members, teachers, and friends. Each pod then chose to learn about one important member from a long list, including Amelia Earhart, Frida Kahlo, Jane Goodall, Katherine Johnson, RBG, Junko Tabei, Zaha Hadid, and many more. After reading about the woman they chose, they did an activity related to that woman, such as making paper airplanes, drawing self-portraits, debating, acting, and observing nature. It was a wonderful time spent paying respect to many wonderful women who made our world a better place today.
